Nikola Tesla Spends a Season at Normandie-by-the-Sea

July 8th, 1894

Some of Last Week’s Visitors - Recent Arrivals at the Hotel.

Normandie-by-the-Sea, N. J., July 7 - Normandie has lost none of its old-time popularity. The hotel is nearly filled even at this early date. The Fourth was, of course, patriotically celebrated with plenty of fireworks.

The first of the regular Saturday evening hops was held to-night. A great many of the cottagers were present.

Bathing is now in full swing and the beach is in excellent condition. Normandie is especially fortunate in this particular.

A. M. Quarrier and his son, A. B. Quarrier, of New-York are at the hotel. Mr. Quarrier is the Second Vice President of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad.

Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Archbold arrived this week. Mr. Archbold is a Director in the Standard Oil Company.
