Tesla’s Honesty and Love for Truth
Tesla never resorted to deceit. Even as a child, he always spoke only the truth, even when he was certain he would face reproach from his parents if he admitted his mistakes. His parents instilled in him from an early age the principle to always speak the truth and that lying is shameful because “he who lies also steals.”
Tesla’s heart was too kind and sincere, and it could not harbor lies or any other wrongdoing. The only thing he did secretly from his parents was reading excessively, as he couldn’t do without books. But who wouldn’t forgive him for that? Even when he was in bad company and lost money in card games, we saw, he sincerely admitted his mistake.
