Nikola Tesla, the well-known electrician, writes to Dr. Thurston from his laboratory at Wardenclyffe, Long Island, under the date of December 3, as follows: "Dear Doctor Thurston: "Your kind invitation for the present year finds me even less capable than before of complying with your request to lecture before the students of Sibley. But I have not given up hope that some time I shall have the pleasure of coming to Cornell."
