Reckoning a man’s age on the basis of his natal day, a child in Yugoslavia is said to be one year old the day he is born. This method of figuring led Yugoslavia to honor Nikola Tesla, American inventor who was born in Croatia, on July 10, 1936, with two stamps for his eightieth birthday, although he was born July 10, 1857, and by our standard of figuring birthdays would have been only 79.
