Nikola Tesla Letters
Letters to and from, or regarding Nikola Tesla
December 19th, 1891 letter from Prof. Michael Pupin to Nikola Tesla - Page 4
the whole matter now I feel pretty confident that it can be easily shown that there is a gigantic step from Ferraris’ whirling pole to Tesla’s whirling magnetic field. The two things seem to me radically different and ought to be pointed out and shown in their true light.
Instead of referring me to your patent specifications for information allow me to suggest that you would do better to give me a little bit of personal information. I assure you that you soon find in me a very appreciative and grateful and exceedingly enthusiastic audience. My Xmas vacation has just commenced and my time will be at your disposal any time you may wish it.
Yours sincerely
M. I. Pupin.
