In Electric Patent Case

New York, May 27. — Some of the most important devices used for the transmission of electricity for lighting purposes are involved in an application for an injunction to be argued in the United States Circuit Court to-day. The Westinghouse Electric Manufacturing Company is seeking to enjoin The Stanley Electric Manufacturing Company, asserting that patents of Nikola Tesla have been infringed. The counsel who will appear in the argument includes former Speaker Thomas B. Reed, Charles E. Mitchell, formerly United States Commissioner of Patents, and William Houston Kenyon.

The present suit is the seventh one brought to test the validity of these patents, and upon the outcome vast Interests are dependent. The legal papers to be used in the case fill several bulky volumes, going over in great detail the history of the inventions in dispute.
