Here's an Organization with a Heap of Work Before It

(United Press Special Wire.) Albany, N. Y., June 25. — The American Civil Alliance with headquarters in New York City was incorporated yesterday to form a nonpartisan body of the best intellect and conscience of the nation, which shall provide for the study and practical working out of scientific problems through obtaining, classifying, and utilizing accurate information thereon and for the establishing of one of more institutions, bureaus, or commission which shall be nonpartisan in character, for effecting an alliance and securing the cooperations of all organizations working for civic betterment; by these means assisting in the formation and direction of sound public opinion upon the local state and national political questions thereby enforcing our system of government through political parties.

The certificate gives as directors: Bishop Frederick Burgess, Garden City; Henry Clews, W. C. Demorest, Miles O'Brien, Jacob Ruppert, Jr. Carl H. Fowler. N. Lafayette Savay, Edward Luaterback, Gage E. Tarbell, Nikola Tesla, Spencer Trask, New York City; Cardinal Gibbons, Baltimore Lucius Tuttle, Boston and John Wanamaker, Philadelphia.
