Westinghouse, Church, Kerr & Co. File Action Against Inventor in Supreme Court.

Nikola Tesla, the electrical expert, was to-day made the defendant in an action filed in the Supreme Court by the corporation of Westinghouse, Church, Kerr & Co. to recover the sum of $18,001.30 alleged to be due on a note.

The complaint, unusually brief, filed by Griggs, Baldwin & Baldwin, recites the fact that on April 17, 1907, the Inventor executed the note to the order of the plaintiff, due in four months and bearing six per cent interest. No portion of it has been paid, so reads the complaint. The only consideration named, so the information sets forth, is the formal "for value received."
