Tesla's Wireless Photography

Was Nikola Tesla guying his interviewer when he said the other day for publication: “We are doing much, very much more than solving the problem of wireless telegraphy. In fact, I am satisfied of the practicability of taking wireless photographs.” As thousands of common, ordinary, everyday photographers, professional and amateur, have been conclusively demonstrating the “practicability of taking wireless photographs” every day of every year since photography was first discovered, this sounds rather like nonsense. Why shouldn’t Mr. Tesla be, like everybody else, “satisfied of the practicability of taking wireless photographs?” Perhaps, though, Mr. Tesla “misspoke himself,” or, more probably, was misreported.
