An invention, which, it is thought may practically revolutionize the propulsion of motorcycles, automobiles and flying machines has been made by an Elmiran. V. J. Manta. who is connected with the Bartlett Brush works. He is a personal friend of Nikola Tesla, the great inventor, who is of the same nationality as Manta — an Austrian German.
From a close study of Tesla's great invention, the turbine. Mr. Manta conceived the idea of applying the turbine motion to a gasoline motor, or in other words make gasoline do the work in a turbine for which steam is usually utilized. So he set to work on this idea, until now he has an engine, upon which a patent is pending, which he claims is all that can be desired for the propulsion of the lighter class of vehicles.
A stock company has been formed, Mr. Manta retaining the controlling majority of stock, called the Manta Manufacturing Company. The engine or turbine as it should really be called, is said to have been secretly tried out on a motorcycle, proving capable of everything claimed for it by its inventor.
