Tesla Coil. — If you will kindly refer to my book, "Electrical Instrument Making for Amateurs," at p. 109, et seq., you will find description and cut of the manner of building a Tesla. Of course, unless your supply is an alternating one, you will be obliged to rig up some form of contact-breaker, either electromagnetic, mechanical, or mercurial, and please note that unless you have had some experience in coil making, so as to be able to appreciate the nicety required in insulating the primary from the secondary, &c., you will very likely not succeed the first time.
