Notes of the Markets - Westinghouse Electric Train Cars

The Westinghouse Electric company has practically completed the equipment of an experimental train of cars to be used on the Manhattan elevated road. The Tesla polyphase system of alternating currents will be used for the first time in railroad or traction work. George Westinghouse, jr., with other electrical experts at East Pittsburg, has been at work to adopt Tesla motors for use on traction roads. The preliminary tests so far made are said to have proved satisfactory.
