Object Is to Provide for Study of Political Problems.
ALBANY, June 24. — The American Civic Alliance, with principal offices in New York, was incorporated to-day to obtain co-operation among organizations working for civic betterment. It is planned to provide for the study and practical working out of scientific problems and to assist in the formation and direction of sound public opinion on local, State and national political questions.
The directors named are Bishop Frederick Burgess, Garden City: Henry Clews, W. C. Demorest, Miles M. O'Brien, Jacob Ruppert, Jr., Carl H. Fowler, N. Lafayette-Savay, Edward Lauterbach, Gage E. Tarbell, Nikola Tesla and Spencer Trask, all of New York; Cardinal Gibbons, Baltimore; Lucius Tuttle, Boston, and John Wanamaker, Philadelphia.
