Dr. Nikola Tesla, the 78-year-old discoverer of an electrical death beam, took time out from his scientific work today to minister to a sick carrier pigeon that flew in a 40th-floor window of the Hotel New Yorker, in Manhattan. As soon as Dr. Tesla heard about the incident he offered to take the bird to his 33d-floor suite and nurse it back to health.
