Dr. G. M. Jenison, of Minneapolis, Minn., reports that electricity has been successfully employed by him in checking hemorrhage from the extraction of teeth. The current, he states, caused instant coagulation of the blood, and gave relief where the usual remedies were without effect.

According to a French journal of a recent date, an electric arrangement has been devised which consists of a microphone placed near the head of a baby in its cradle, and connected to a sort of relay which operates an electric bell placed near to where the nurse is asleep — a cry from the child will therefore cause the bell to ring.
