A fire often destroys that which money can’t replace. The most destructive fire in this way was that in New York which destroyed the shop of Nikola Tesla. Mr. Tesla is one of the most advanced of electrical inventors, and in his shop were many inventions and much delicate work that it will take years of patient labor and study to reproduce. The loss was not his alone. It was a loss to the whole scientific world.
