TESLA SAYS HE WILL SOON BE ABLE TO TELEGRAPH WITHOUT WIRES TO ANY CITY ON EARTH.
By the Associated Press
New York. Feb. 11 — According to an afternoon paper, Nikola Tesla, the electrical Inventor, announces today that his plans for the instruments of wireless telegraphy for the transmission of messages across the ocean are completed and that he has already chosen a site for the terminal plant on this side of the Atlantic.
The following statement is credited to Mr. Tesla —
"My experiments have proved a great success. I am now fully satisfied that I shall be able to telegraph not only to Paris and London, but to any city in the world within eight months.
"I hope to attain a speed of 1,500 to 2,000 words an hour. The instrument at either terminal will be absolutely free from extraneous disturbances. I believe I have succeeded in eliminating outside influence and can make one set of instruments work free from another almost within touch."
