Nikola Tesla Museum of Science & Industry Gets a New Home....
As the Society has grown over the past couple of years, so has its space needs. Since the Society’s current lease was due to expire, the Board of Directors decided to relocate in a facility which is over twice as large as the current facility.
The Museum’s bookstore/giftshop area has remained approximately the same; however, the sizes of the other areas have been tripled. Separate office areas have established with a common area for volunteers with word-processing needs. Prior to this move, the staff had been stumbling over each other while accomplishing their assigned tasks. This will allow them to work much more efficiently.
A new workshop area will be added where Society volunteers can help put together new and exciting exhibits. Efforts are being made to obtain shop equipment, machinery, and tools for the workshop.
The new facility will be located at:
2220 East Bijou Street
Colorado Springs, CO
The Society’s telephone numbers will remain the same. To facilitate future moves, the Society will be maintaining a mailing address of:
International Tesla Society, Inc
PO Box 5636
Colorado Springs, CO 80931
After we get settled into the new facility, the Society will be concentrating on expanding and improving the exhibit area. You are invited and encouraged to visit the Society and museum at the new facility.

Call for Demonstrations/Papers
Planning for the 1993 Extraordinary Science Conference is underway. The 1993 Conference will commemorate over 500 years of discovery and exploration since Columbus’s voyage over the edge of the Earth. Although many proclaimed Tesla a great inventor, Tesla preferred to refer to himself as a discoverer.
Demonstrations and lectures are being sought in the following areas:
Basic Scientific Research,
Alternate Energy,
Bioelectric/magnetic research,
Communications,
Advanced Transportation.
Demonstrations/lectures will be selected on the basis of a 250 word abstract. The abstract should include a clear, brief description of your demonstration, investigation, and/or conclusions. To assure proper consideration of a paper, the abstract must be submitted by December 31, 1992.
