Tesla Confesses Judgment

Electrical Expert Owes $583 Which, He Says, He Can't Pay.

A judgment for $583 was filed in. the County Clerk's office yesterday against Nikola Tesla, the electrical expert, by Walter L. Bunnell, attorney for Frank E. Cahill, for services performed by Mr. Cahill for Mr. Tesla between Aug. 8, 1903, and June 13, 1904, at Colorado Springs.

Mr. Tesla confessed judgment for the above amount on Nov. 4, 1905, but the legal document was not filed until yesterday. Mr. Cahill brought suit in the Third District Municipal Court, this city, In October, 1905, for his claim, but the case was discontinued and the confession of judgment was given then. The City of New York obtained a judgment against Mr. Tesla on Dec. 14, 1905, for $415 for personal taxes, but the execution was returned unsatisfied.
