Tesla Has An Unseen Power

Will Transmit Force and Messages by Electrical Vibration.

NEW YORK, Jan. 19. — After a series of successful experiments made in the high altitudes of Colorado, Nikola Tesla returned to New York today, profoundly impressed with the possibilities of electrical vibration.

"Wireless telegraphy is only an incident." said Mr. Tesla. "I shall not only be able to send manages to Paris, but to any other city without wires."

Continuing be said: "The two great problems to be solved were — first, how to develop the force that would carry the message; second, and more difficult, how to isolate the message so that it would be received in perfect condition at the terminal. I think I have solved both of these propositions.

"I have already shown that ordinary currents can be transformed with high economy into electrical vibrations of any pitch, which are needed in many novel arts. I have demonstrated that electrical energy in great amounts can be efficiently and safely transmitted without the use of wires. Distance is not a material feature. I am confident that the movements and operations of bodies of machinery carried by the same can be controlled from a great distance without any tangible connection whatever, and with absolute precision."
