Tesla Tower To Be Sold

October 27th, 1907

Property of Electrician to be Disposed of to Satisfy a Judgment for $199.31.

The tower erected by Nikola Tesla, the electrical inventor, at Wardenclyffe Long Island, is advertised for sale, by Sheriff. Wells of Suffolk County on Monday, Dec. 9, for a debt of $199.31 August Eisenmann, through his attorney, Ralph J. Hawkins, has obtained a judgment for this amount against the electrician.

This is the second time it has been advertised for a judgment sale within half a year. Dr. Warden, the founder of Wardenclyffe, had it seized a few months ago to satisfy a small judgment. Mr. Tesla paid the judgment just before the time of sale.

The property is valuable and consists of about two hundred acres. The tower was built at great cost. It extends deep into the ground, and rises a great height in the air, and its equipment was expensive.
