Tesla's New Inventions

As Nikola Tesla in singularly reticent about his plans until they are consummated, and then prepares for publication the detailed description of his inventions, it is fair to presume that he has devised apparatus which will produce 100,000,000 electrical vibrations a second, and do that at a very moderate cost. If that apparatus is found fully to sustain the claims of Tesla, then it is certain that there is to be in the near future a revolution in electric lighting.

Tesla also believes that his apparatus will lead to much larger and more economical use of the Roentgen rays in the arts, and will be especially valuable in medical use of electricity.

It will also, if his plans are equal in their performance to his expectations, make it possible to produce brilliant illumination by means of vacuum tubes which are not in mechanical contact with electric sources. In other words, illumination by his devices will make a room brilliant something in the manner in which sunlight streams in at the window. This illumination has been secured already, but the earlier apparatus used by Tesla made the operation too costly to make it possible to use that method of illumination to commercial advantage.
