THE PAPERS OF NIKOLA TESLA
The following four items are additions to the Calendar of original papers and manuscripts of Nikola Tesla, compiled and presented for the first time in the last issue of "The Teslian. " These items are recent acquisitions of the Library of Congress.
| TODOR. A.L.S 1 p. 4to, on stationery of Gerlach Hotel, September 9, 1892. Concerning delay in reply to letter of April 28th, and the proposed translation of his lectures. Says in part, "Of course I am pleased to learn that you have thought it worth while to translate my lectures in German, I am convinced that the translation will be a good one." | TODOR A.L.S. 2 op. 8vo, on stationery of Gerlach Hotel, November 28, 1892. Concerning the receipt and return of a manuscript and for his good opinion and interest. Says in part that he hoped the forthcoming book "will meet with a success such, as will partially repay you for the pains taken." (Library of Congress) |
| TODOR A. L.S. 1 p. 4to, on stationery of the Gerlach Hotel, January 1, 1893. Regarding the delay in returning his manuscript and the enclosure of his lecture. This short note reading in part, "With to-day's mail I send you a copy of my abstract which has just appeared in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Institution. It may give you a better insight into some ideas which I have advanced." (Library of Congress) |
| TODOR. A.L.S. 1 p. 4to, on blank stationery, March 19, 1893. Short note about the delay in answering his letters and matters of publication. Letter reads in part, "I am now preparing my lecture on light phenomena, of which I whall send you a copy just as soon as it is ready. I shall also mail the galley correction of your book (which I have not received as yet) as soon as possible." (Library of Congress) |
