Judge Thomas Watches Wheels Go Pound and Hears Arguments in Electrical Injunction Case.

The United States Circuit Court room, in the Federal Building, was turned into an electric power house, in full operation, this morning. With Judge Thomas gravely looking on from the bench, armatures hummed and the sparks flew in all directions, while the Nassau Light and Power Company tried to demonstrate to the court that the machines in operation did not infringe on the patents granted to the Westinghouse Electric Company.

The Suit, which was continued from last Saturday, involves a number of the patents, and has attracted considerable interest in the engineering world. The Nassau Light and Power Company has been using machines furnished by the Bullock Electric Company, which, it is claimed, embody certain Ideas previously contained in different patents granted to Nikola Tesla and by him transferred to the Westinghouse Company. The Bullock Company is fighting the case for the Nassau people, and is seeking to prevent the issuance of an injunction, for which the Westinghouse Company has made application. The firm of Kerr, Page & Cooper, assisted by F. H. Betts, are looking after the interests of the Westinghouse Company, while Clifton B. Edwards, assisted by a member of the firm of Kenyon & Kenyon, is representing the Nassau Light and Power Company.

This morning Judge Thomas listened to a lengthy technical explanation regarding the different parts of armatures. Before the argument began he "watched the wheels go round," half a dozen different electrical machines having been set up on the floor of the court room and connected with the lighting plant of the building.
