Using a Genius for Ethnic Defamation

July 10th, 2006

When it comes to sensitivity in the media, no one has gone out of their way but the British media outlets to purge their vocabulary of words and phrases that displease Muslims: even the word terrorist has been displaced with a mundane “bombers” by the BBC on the account that the word terrorist contains value judgments offensive to Muslims. BBC wants to lead the UK media in the right direction by an example.

By far not the BBC, the Scotsman seems to thrive on value judgments, not because of reporting on terrorist Muslims but by its compound effect of its inexorable ethnic defamation of Serbs.

Scotsman’s latest is Nikola Tesla.

In a major value judgement, Tesla, an ethnic Serb and an American citizen, was termed by the Scotsman as Croatia’s forgotten son.

Nikola Tesla is not Croatia’s son... Tesla was not Croatian citizen nor is he an ethnic Croat.

Tesla is an ethnic Serb born in an Austrian empire and emigrated to America where he became the American citizen.

As an ethnic Serb, Tesla was above all an American citizen and not a Croatian one, so the mendacious Scotsman needs to do some big-time fact checking before attributing ethnic Serbian contribution to the Western civilization onto a wrong nation-state (Croatia).

Serbs do get very upset at this because during the WWII Croatia was genociding Serbs, including Serbs from areas where Nikola Tesla himself was born. Killing of ethnic Serbs in Croatia during WWII was so massive that had Tesla stayed in his native village of Smiljan, Croatians would have, undoubtedly, killed him.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with having Croatian officials participate in the monument dedication to Tesla because it is an attempt to change the Croatian widespread social racism of ethnic Serbs: even in trivialities like World Cup soccer where the fans are the projection of the prevailing European social conscience, Croatian fans were glad they did not lose to “someone like Serbs” but instead lost because of Australia.

Many ethnic Serbs across the globe would be grateful indeed if the British media was half as courteous to sensitivities of ethnic Serbs as they are to Muslim terrorists.
