We Hear Again from Nikola Tesla Who Doesn't Invent

June 9th, 1903

Gladdening indeed is it to learn that Nikola Tesla is recrudescent and actively engaged in building a very important structure somewhere on Long Island, by means of which he intends to revolutionize the electrical methods of the world.

Mr. Tesla has not been heard of in some time past. Heretofore hardly a month passed that Mr. Tesla did not add, by newspaper publication, to the treasures of the world of invention some little trifle that gave every indication of adding materially to the comfort and pleasure of the occupants of the countries in which patents were taken out.

It is true that peevish and captious electrical persons pointed out that nothing of actual value had ever been accomplished by Nikola Tesla; that no invention in actual use bore his name, and that his so-called discoveries were of no practical value.

Nevertheless, and to the contrary notwithstanding, it will be conceded that Mr. Tesla has saved the lives of hundreds of space writers on the dailies of New York who would otherwise have starved to death, and, while there are many who would hardly regard this as deserving of commendation, it at least stands to the credit of Mr. Tesla.

Otherwise Mr. Tesla will be known throughout the ages as the inventor who didn't invent.
