Tesla attended elementary school in Smiljan and GospiÄ, high school in GospiÄ and the nearby town of Karlovac, where he passed his high school graduation in 1875. In high school, he showed a great inclination for mathematics and physical sciences. Besides, he was unusually fond of books. Whenever he could, he would sneak into his fatherâs library and read for a long time. His father often scolded him for this, because he preferred that his son, who was of delicate health, spend time playing outdoors.
