Nikola Tesla Books

Books written by or about Nikola Tesla

They are easily recognized by their Lika cap and dialect. Their homes have been blessed by God with healthy and numerous families, so even though many leave for work elsewhere, they do not leave their houses empty. Hence the saying: “Lika settles down everything but does not displace itself.” As the people of Lika are poor, their children, and even their women, often go barefoot, even in the snow. But they jokingly say that women go barefoot in the snow so they can arrive faster.

Nikola Tesla inherited this Lika toughness, resilience, and persistence.

Lika cap

When the 80th anniversary of Nikola Tesla’s life was celebrated, many foreign scientists from seventeen countries visited the house where he was born. On this occasion, the organizers of the celebration gave each foreign guest a Lika cap as a memento of Lika and Smiljan.
