Books written by or about Nikola Tesla

he was in a state of bliss and strengthened his body for the great and strenuous work he was preparing for. The divine nature appeared to him in its most beautiful form and the most diverse manifestations. Therefore, the influence of nature on his young and dreamy soul was immeasurable. In that solitude and direct observation of nature, Tesla willingly contemplated its secrets and hidden, yet insufficiently explored forces. There, he also made serious attempts at new discoveries.

Observing the majestic flights of eagles over high mountain peaks, the long-held childhood dream in him awakened once again - the dream of humans having wings. However, this time, these were not naïve childhood dreams and attempts, but serious considerations. Tesla now possessed great knowledge and experience, and his natural gift was clearly manifesting itself. He sought to create wings for humans through purely scientific means, that is, to enable humans to fly wherever they wanted and land wherever they wished. To achieve this, Tesla thought of inventing a “flying machine.” It’s worth noting that during that time, contemporary airplanes as we know them today did not exist. Nevertheless, Tesla performed all the calculations for the “flying machine,” calculations we mentioned earlier, which are now applied in aviation.

There, Tesla also contemplated finding specific machines - turbines, which could best harness water power.

He also pondered on how to lay special pipes beneath the seas between Europe and America to send packages and letters at very high speeds through compressed air.

About all these plans, Tesla was performing precise calculations, which later yielded significant results.
