Nikola Tesla Books
Teslaâs generous heart feels everyoneâs pain, although many have abused his generosity.
âWhoever begs to wear a crown, give it to him.â
âWhoever gives to the poor, lends to God.â
Tesla and Bad Company
Tesla was gladly welcomed in society because he was an excellent companion, entirely unselfish, and very witty. However, when he became a young man, bad company led him astray. It made him go to the tavern to gamble, smoke, and drink. His mother told him to stay away from such things, but he honestly replied to his mother: âWhy should I avoid the tavern when I have friends there with whom I enjoy spending time playing cards.â However, even in that bad environment, Tesla showed qualities of rare kindness and selflessness. All the money he won gambling he would immediately return.
