remarks on the tesla exhibit at the buffalo museum of science Opened June 6, 1981 The exhibit of the Tesla concept is given in three demontrations. The first one shows the efficiency of long distance AC transmission as compared to the low voltage, direct current Edison System. The second one demonstrates the voltage step-up and step-down capability of a transformer by allowing the viewer to wind his own. transformer. The last one is a working model of a three-phase transmission line system where the visitor generates a rotating magnetic field by turning the alternating current generator. Memorabilia, literature, posters, lists of his numerous patents and a full-length, color feature film are also part of the exhibit. The film will be shown. to groups only to reduce wear and tear on the film. and a nominal fee will be charged to help the Society buy a replacement copy. The exhibit is expected to continue through October. The Tesla Exhibit was co-sponsored by the Buffalo Museum of Science, and the State University of New York at Buffalo's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The following students contributed to the preparation of this exhibit: Tom Spann, Milan Nikolich, Doug Hillman, Dave Marguccio, and Jeff Klaus. The staff was represented by Willi Schulze, and the faculty by Dr. D. P. Malone, Dr. R. Dollinger, and Dr. W.J. Sarjeant, all of them members of the Tesla Memorial Society. Dr. Richard E.
