The famous Adams Station at Niagara Falls, the birthplace of large-scaled central power alternating current generation. This view shows some of the original 5000KW 25-cycle generators based upon the rotating magnetic field patents of Nikola Tesla. They were installed circa 1895 and used from that time until a few years ago when the redevelopment of the Niagara River was accomplished and this station was razed.
