August 2nd, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla
New York, Aug. 2nd, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Str.
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
Mr. Uhlman says the work in the shop is on silver and bismuth filings, nickel wire chips, clockworks and castings of third independent break, winding of armature and development of pump. The work on the filings snd clockwork is being pushed as rapidly as possible.
As the bismuth has proved cheaper than was anticipated (20 cents an ounce) we shall send the same amount of it as of silver.
The inclosed statement was received to-day.
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
