August 9th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla

Dear Mr. Tesla:

Your telegram to send more O. K. Dry Batteries and inquiring about an oscillator like the one sent has just been received. Mr. Uhlman says, only one oscillator of this type was ever built. The dry batteries have been immediately sent for and will be expressed as soon as they are received.

The clockworks, Mr. Uhlman thinks, cannot be finished before Friday or Saturday.

He has tried the first independent break with a vacuum lamp and finds that it gives a very steady light.

Very few letters have been received lately, containing several inquiries about oscillators and a few applications for positions.
