New York, Dec. 16th, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Street
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
Your letter of Dec. 12th, inclosing check of $200 for shop expenses, was received this morning. I am very g1ad to know of your great success and that you will soon return.
Mr. Uhlman has put Alfred to work on some tubes at once and thinks that he will be able to make them after a little practice.
Since you have been in Colorado, I have drawn from the Chatham Bank without your check as follows:
May 27 | $200.00 | |
Sep.19 | 75.00 | (Traveling Exp. for Mr. Czito) |
Nov.17 | 125.00 | |
Dec. 9 | 200.00 | |
$600.00 |
The work of the shop is on the armature, stationary shaft casting, condenser strips, spark rods, contact connections and minor parts of the oscillator. Mr. Uhlman inquires if the same size primary and secondary is to be used for this machine as for the old oscillator.
I inclose statement of the shop expenses for the past week.
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
