Nikola Tesla Letters
December 19th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla
New York, Dec. 19th, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Street
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
The work of the shop continues on the stationary shaft casting, insulation of the armature, condenser case and parts of the condenser, spark rods and minor parts of the oscillator. Mr. Uhlman says, Alfred is working in the glass blowing room with great enthusiasm.
A letter was received to-day from Bennett City, British Columbia, containing an inquiry about your system of wireless telegraphy and expressing a desire to use the same for distances of over three hundred miles to the nearest ordinary telegraph station. I have informed the writer of this letter, that it would be laid before you on your return from Colorado.
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
