Nikola Tesla Letters
December 23rd, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla
New York, Dec. 23rd, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Street
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
The work of the shop to-day is on finishing of the pulley, assembling of condenser case, stationary shaft and magnet castings and on various minor parts of the oscillator.
I send herewith bills of the Edison Illuminating Co. and a letter from Mr. Page.
The statement of the Edison Co. is correct, as last month no check was sent for the bills which I forwarded.
The patent which Mr. Page requires is not here in the safe, and I so informed Mr. Page by telephone.
He then said he thinks you have it in Colorado, and begs you to send it to him.
I inclose also a statement of the expenses for this week. As no check was received to-day for the men's salaries, which will be charged against your check when it comes in.
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
