Nikola Tesla Letters
November 29th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla
New York, Nov. 29th, 1899
46 & 48 E. Houston Street
Nikola Tesla, Esq.,
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Dear Mr. Tesla:
The work of the shop continues on the armature, pump, brush-holders and other parts of the new oscillator and on splitting the mica for the condenser. Mica strips are now being used, 1 1/16 x 6 1/2 inches.
The mail to-day contained besides the inclosed letter, a request from the Home Magazine to write an article, a request for a contribution to perpetuate the Dewey Arch and a letter from a Dr. Vecki, of San Franciso, together with a medical book written by him. I have informed the writer of the inclosed letter of your absence and that the communication would be forwarded. In reply to the other letters I have also sent information of your absence.
Respectfully,
Geo. Scherff
