November 7th, 1899 letter from George Scherff to Nikola Tesla

Dear Mr. Tesla:

The inclosed note was received this morning from Mr. Loewenstein, together with fifty dollars in bank notes. The receipt of the same at first puzzled me, but afterward I remembered that Mr. Loewenstein mentioned that you had advanced him some money, and I suppose this sum is sent in payment of his debt.

The work in the shop to-day is on the winding of the armature, on the ball bearings, pump and minor parts of the fourth independent break.
