J J 1 J J a 4. The method of inparting energy to a fluid, which consiste in admitting it to the central portion of rotatably arranged spaced disks, and, by its adhesive and viscous action upon the rotating surfaces of said disks, causing it to flow between the saine under the combined influence of radial and tangential forces in natural spirals towards the peripheral portions of seid disks. The improvement in the art of fluid propulsion, which consists in causing the fluid by its nähesive and viscous action thereon to flow, under the combined influence of radial and tangential forces, in natural curved paths from the central to the peripheral portion of a rotatable system of plein surfaces. 6. The method of imparting energy to a fluid, which. of a rotor, consists in admitting it to the entral portion. and by its adhesive and viscous action upon the moving sur. faces of said rotor, causing it to flow, under the combined influence of radial and tangential forces towards the periphery in naturel spirals, with a velocity continuously increasing and approximating that of the adjedent parts of the rotor. 8164 7. A machine for propelling or imparting energy to fluids, comprising in combination a plurality of rotatably mounted spaced disks with plain surfaces, an enclosing casing and ports of inlet and outlet at the axial and perpheral portions of the same respectively. A machine for propelling or imperting energy to fluide, comprising in combination e volute crsing provided with ports of inlet and outlet at its central and peripheral -8831
