The method of imperting energy to a fluid, which consists in admitting it to the central portion of a plurality of plane spaced disks, rotating the diske by suitable power, and, by the adhesive and viscous properties of the fluid, causing it to flow, under the combined influence of radial and tangential forces in natural spirals between the surfaces of eaid disks towards the peripheral portions of the same.
