1 T 1 J T 1 J T Div. 9, Room 142, Appn. of Nikola Tesla, Ser. No. 523, 832, Filed October 21, 1909, Fluid Propulsion. Hon. Commissioner of Patents, Sir: - DIVISION 9 Paper No. 15 DEC 11 1912 REMARKS. U.S. PATENT OFFICE NewYork, December 6th, 1912 In response to the office letter of October 18th, 1912, the above entitled application is amended as follows. Cancel claims 1 to 4 inclusive and renumber claims 5, 6 and 7 as 1, 2 and 3 respectively. It is to be understood that the applicant does not hereby abandon the subject matter of the canceled claims. He reserves the right to file a separate application therefor and on even date herewith transmits the same to the Patent Office containing the method claims eliminated from this application. By this action the present application is placed in condition for allowance. An amendment has also been embodied in applicant's copending application Serial No. 603,049, containing the apparatus claims on the turbine, which apparently places it also in condition for allowance. The object of this proceeding is to obviate the suspension of the apparatus invention pending final disposition of applicant's copending application Serial No. 678,817 and to have both apparatus applications patented concurrently at the earliest possible moment. Respectfully submitted, Kerr Page Cooper & Hayward 855
