The method of deriving energy from a fluid under pressure, which consists in admitting the fluid to the peripheral portion of a rotably arranged system, causing it to flow, under the combined influence of radial and tangential forces, in a natural spiral path towards the axis of the system, and propelling the system by the adhesive and viscous action thereon of the fluid, as set forth. 2. The method of deriving energy from a moving fluid, which consists in admitting the fluid in a tangential direction to the peripheral portion of a rotably arranged system and causing it to impart thereto, by adhesive and viscous action, its energy of movement while flowing in a natural spiral path with continuously diminishing velocity towards the axis of the system, as set forth. 3. The method of deriving motive power from a fluid under pressure, which consists in directing the fluid upon the peripheral portions of a rotably arranged system of surfaces, causing it to flow, under the combined influence of radial and tangential forces, in a natural spiral path along the surfaces with gradually diminishing velocity towards the axis of rotation, and propelling the system by adhesive and viscous action of the fluid thereon, as set forth. The method of transmitting energy, which consists in imparting motion to a fluid, causing the same to flow, under the combined influence of radial and tangential forces, with gradually diminishing velocity in natural curved paths between tangential -13881
