DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE, 152 WASHINGTON, D. C., ... Subject: MAILED VEC & 1893 Dec. 8, 1893. N.Y.City. Filed Aug. 19, 1893. No. 483,502. Please find below a communication from the EXAMINER in charge of the application above noted. Electric Generators. Ithus. Seymour Commissioner of Patents. The examiner does not believe that there is any foundation for the inference drawn by applicant to the effect that the engine shown in the French patent to Jablochkoff is a mere conventional representation of the piston and cylinder of an ordinary engins such as commonly emploved for driving machinery. On the contrary, the inference is all the other way, especially in view of the fact that reciprocating engines without fly wheels were common and well known at the time said patent was granted. At the same time, as a doubt has arisen and the examiner is unable to sustain his opinion by absolute proof, the doubt will be resolved in applicant's favor and this application passed to issue at once. 54 سورة
