96 State of New York, ) : County of New York. ) ss: Nikola Tesla, the above-named petitioner, a citizen of the United States, and resident of New York, in the County and State of New York, being duly sworn, deposes and says that he verily believes himself to be the original, first and sole inve ntor of the improvement in apparatus for the production of electric currents of high frequency and potential described and claimed in the foregoing specification; that the same has not been patented to himself or to others with his knowledge or consent in any country; that the same has not to his knowledge been in public use or on sale in the United States for more than two years prior to this application, and he does not know and does not believe that the same was ever known or used prior to his invention thereof.
