State of New York, City and County of New York. ) ) : ss: Nikola Tesla, being first duly sworn, de poses and says that he is the applicant above named. That the extract annexed here to and marked "Exhibit A is a transcript of a portion of his lecture delivered by him before the National Electric Light Association at its sixteenth convention held at St. Louis, Mo., February 28th, March 1st and March 2nd, 1893, and published by order of the National Electric Light Association at New York City in a printed publication entitled "Light and Other High Frequency Phenomena", by Nikola Tesla. Kempster Printing Co., New York, 1893. Deponent further says that the system of electrical transmission of energy described and illustrated in the extract Exhibit A was original with him and of his own invention; that he has never abandoned the same, and, so far as he is aware, it had not been in public use or on sale for more than two years prior to the filing of said application.
