It is not stat cd what number of turns should be used in the high tension coil, nor what the ratio of turns in the primary and secondary should be. The only description of the sourco G in the case is found on page 6 in paragraph 1, and this paragraph does not even suggest what the source nsy be, but caly states that "the frequency of the current is in large neagure arbitrary.. with respect to the position of the teminals D, D', nothing is stated save that if the potential be sufficiently high and the terminals of the coils be maintained at a proper elovation where the atmosphere is comparatively rarefied, the intermediata stratum will serve as a conductor for the current produced.
