Court Remits Tesla’s Fine

Nikola Tesla, the electrician, who was fined $100 on Tuesday for failure to obey a summons for jury duty, yesterday had his fine remitted. Mr. Tesla appeared before Judge Warren W. Foster, in the Court of General Sessions, and explained that he had not intended any disrespect to the court, but that, being very busy, he had overlooked the summons. Judge Foster excused Mr. Tesla until Oct. 15.
