Pittsburg. Oct. 13. - A United States Court decision of great importance in the electrical business was handed down by Judge McPherson of Philadelphia.
The case was brought by the Tesla Electric Company against the Scott and Janney company, and involves the great patents of Nikola Tesla embodying the principle of polyphase motors, which are so important in all long distance power transmission schemes.
The opinion of McPherson is broadly in favor of the Tesla patents. The patents are owned and controlled by the Westinghouse Electric Company of this city.
