Plans for Electrical Show

Fiftieth Anniversary of Transatlantic Cable Communication To Be Celebrated on Opening Night.

Laying special emphasis on the fact that 1908 marks the fiftieth anniversary of transatlantic communication by cable, the promoters of the annual New York Electrical Show are planning to make the affair more extensive in its scope this year than ever before. The show will be held in Madison Square Garden from October 3 to October 8, and the opening night has been set aside as a special occasion to commemorate the laying of the first Atlantic cable. Mr. Thomas A. Edison, Mr. Marconi and Mr. Nikola Tesla will make addresses.

On Thursday, October 8, all the receipts from the show will be presented to the Loomis Annex, a non-sectarian institution for the alleviation and elimination of consumption. Special contributions will be received by Mrs. Richard Irvin, No. 1 West Thirty-ninth street.
